Short Itinerary

Day 1:- Manali –Chandartal
We will start early in morningenroute passing throughSolang valley & Atal tunnel. In Chatru we will halt for some refreshment and then ride along Chandra River and crossing the infamous PagalNallas on the way which will test your riding skills. Late afternoon we will reach Chandartal Lake (4300 mts) which is also known as the moon lake due to is crescent shape. In the midst of brown shade of mountains there is turquoise blue patch of the lake. Your eye soothed by the beauty of lake. The lake looks completely different in the different times of the day. If you have still energy left from whole day ride you can also go for the parikarma of the lake which will take around 2 hours and also the best way to explore its beauty from all directions. We will stay at camp overnight. And don’t forget to witness the magical night sky from here; you can see the entire Milky Way galaxy from naked eyes.Day 2:- Chandartal – Kaza(Kibber village & Key monastery)
Today morning after breakfast our group will head towards Kaza through KunzumPass(4590m) which has small temple of goddess Durga and with lots of flags. We will pass through Chicham Bridge which is a suspension bridge that is built over the gorge that separates Kibber and Chicham Villages. It is one of the most spectacular bridges in India and that is why it is so well known as well. After that we will visit Kibber village which is around 20 kms before Kaza& Key monastery in Kibber which is approximately 1000 years old. Evening we will reach Kaza (3800m) which is the main headquarter of Spiti Valley.Day 3:- Kaza Local sighseeing(Langza, Komik, Hikkim)
Today day will be relax day with not much travelling. First we will head to Langza, a small village situated at altitude of 4400 meters. The grand Buddha statue is the primary attraction of the village. Langza is also known for finding ancient fossils and there is also a fossil center in the village. Komic village at an altitude of 4600 meters is the world highest motor able village. The village has high vintage points with some awesome views and a Tangyud Monastery. You can see entire Spiti valley from here. Then we will visit Hikkim village (4440m) which has world highest post office. You can also send postcards to your loved ones from here. Evening we will come back to Kaza, overnight stay in Kaza.Day 4:- Kaza – Tabo – Dhankar monastery – Kaza
Well finally the day for most iconic monastery of Spiti valley – Dhankar monastery. As the name says it means fortress on the cliff. Dhankar monastery (3870m) offer some amazing view of Spiti Valley. The monastery if built as gigantic as a fort. Seeing the moving shadows of the floating clouds on the flood plains of Spiti and Pin River will make you feel that you are God of these mountains. Then afternoon we will head to visit Tabo which is also known as the Ajanta of Himalayas. Untouched and preserved its glorious heritage, Tabo monastery is famous for its holiness and also a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. Amazingly is 1200 years monastery is well preserved and painting here will make you feel that you are living the past. Late afternoon we will head back to Kaza. Overnight stay at KazaDay 5:- Kaza – Manali
Early in the morning we will start our return back ride to Manali which is approximately 8 to 10 hours ride in total. After crossing Kunzum – la we will halt for lunch in Chacha-chachidhaba .They has been running a dhaba for last 44 years at one of the most difficult terrains in the world in most hostile conditions, weather and poor connectivity. This extraordinary couple who are legends in themselves is now part of many adventure folklores for decades. Don’t forget to take pictures with them.
