A bike trip to the challenging mountain scape of Manali – Leh – Srinagar is at the top of every passionate biker’s bucket list. The roads are open only a few months a year. The Manali – Leh highway connects the lower Himalayas region to the high-altitude Ladakh region. In this tour we will cross a total of 8 passes and 3 of them are the world’s highest passes. The journey is full of great adventures and will leave of spellbound. The call of the open road and the pull of the unknown. Over 11 days you will see all kinds of shifts in weather, terrain, and cultures. Snow-covered mountains, waterfalls, lakes, and deserts will make you feel that you are in heaven. SHORT ITINERARY(MANALI – LEH – SRINAGAR)
Day 1:- Manali(Reach Manali by your own)
Day 2:- Manali – Jispa
Day 3:- Jispa – Sarchu
Day 4:- Sarchu – Leh
Day 5:- Leh Local Sightseeing
Day 6:- Leh – Nubra
Day 7:- Nubra – Pangong
Day 8:- Pangong – Leh
Day 9:– Leh – Kargil
Day 10:- Kargil – Srinagar
Day 11:– Srinagar Airport drop (Moring Time).
( MANALI – LEH – SRINAGAR ) 11 DAYS:-
Day 1:-Arrive in Manali (Reach Manali on your own)
On this day firstly there will be some formalities(paperwork) like risk form, remaining payment, introduction with the team staff, bike test drive, and some instructions and tour guidance have to be done.
Rest Manali Day is free for relaxing and you can take advantage of it by visiting local markets for your shopping.
Day 2:- Manali – Jispa
Today morning we will start our journey to Jispa which is 140 km away from Manali. By the time we reach Rohtang Pass(3,978m), you will be amazed by the beauty of the Himalayas. Magnificent lush green valley and hairpin bend will give you a heavenly bike ride experience. After crossing our first pass we will enter the Lahaul Valley and our ride will continue beside the Chandra River and late afternoon we will reach Jispa(3,200m). We will bonfire and camp overnight here. Also staying in Jispa is considered best because your body will start acclimatize according to the gradual ascending altitude.
Day 3:- Jispa – Sarchu
Fully charged in the morning we hit the road towards BaralachaPass(4900m). Baralacha La is a high mountain pass in the Zanskar Range and mostly remains covered by snow throughout the year. Early evening we will arrive at Sarchu(4300m). Sarchu is a vast plateau and the landscape is mesmerizing and Martian-type. You will see a needle-like structure of cliffs that are trying to touch the sky and look like sand castles. Don’t forget to get to bed early because tomorrow is going to be a big day.
Day 4:- Sarchu – Leh
This day will be a big day for all of us as we will cross three passes today one of which is the world’s second-highest pass. As soon sun arrives we hit the road. The 21 hairpin bends of Gata loops continue to climb towards Nakila and Lachungla Passes. Afternoon we will halt at Pang for Lunch and refreshment. Before climbing to Tanglang La Pass(5328m) which is the world’s second-highest motorable road pass, we will witness 50 km of flatlands. Be ready to capture some dramatic photographs as the landscape looks like a football ground made by God for Yetis. Evening we will arrive at Leh(3500m). All we need complete rest after such a long day.
Day 5:- Leh Local Sightseeing
Today is the day for relaxing, exploring, and leisure around Leh city. We will visit Shanti Stupa and nearby Monasteries. The architecture and beauty of Shanti Stupa are unexplainable. The altitude of Shanti Stupa allows us to picture the entire view of Leh Ladakh. Evening you can explore the shiny markets of Leh city.
Day 6:- Leh – Nubra
Today our first task is to ride to the top of the world – KhardunglaPass(5359m) world’s highest motorable pass which is steep 40 km away from Leh. After that, we will enter the Nubra Valley. We will stay Under – the high-altitude desert. The sand dunes and barren landscape have breathtaking natural beauty. Don’t forget double humped Bactrian camel here.
Day 7:- Nubra – Pangong
Morning we will start our journey to Pangong Lake. We will continue on AghamShayok road side by side to Shyok River. We may face some big water crossings on the way. After 6 hours ride we will reach Pangong Lake(4,250m) also known as Pangong Tso which means – high grassland lake. The beauty of this place is like nowhere in India. The calm and remoteness and its tranquility give it a different kind of charm. The lake is approximately 5 km wide and 134 km long and 60% lake is in China.
Day 8:- Pangong – Leh
Well, you will feel extremely lucky when you will witness the most beautiful morning of your life. If you dare you can take a dip in it. Early afternoon we will ride back to Leh en-route crossing ChanglaPass(5300m) which is the world’s third highest motorable pass. Changla Pass has the most ascending steep climb and big water streams make it extremely difficult to cross. It can be a test of your off-road skills. In the evening we will arrive at Leh.
Day 9 :- Leh – Kargil
Today morning our bike expedition will move toward Kargil. This route is full of amazing sights – Indus &Zanskar rivers Sangam(meeting point), the giant Buddha statue at Mublek, and Lamayuru monastery. The landscape alongside the way of Lamayuru is extraordinarily beautiful and is also known as the Moonland of Ladakh. Overnight stay at Kargil.
Day 10:- Kargil – Srinagar
The morning after breakfast we will visit the Drass war memorial, built to commemorate the martyrs of the Kargil war where thousands of our brave heart soldiers rest in peace. After that, our group will move ahead to cross the most beautiful pass of the region – ZozillaPass(3528 mts). The amazing view of the mighty Himalayan mountains will make our ride worthwhile. After descending the Zozilla pass we straight enter to Kashmir valley(Sonmarg) which means ‘meadow of Gold’. Evening we will halt near Dal Lake in Srinagar. This night will be our final night of the tour.
Day 11:- Depart
Today morning cab will drop you in Srinagar airport.

- Any adventure activities water rafting, camel riding, etc.
- Cost of any new spare part used in the bullet.
- If there will be a delay in days due to any reason (e.g. roadblocks, natural calamities, or any other reason) you have to pay extra.
- Any extra Day extended by you has to pay for the cancellation of Volvo seats or any other related charge.
- Increase in the day of bike rental extra will be charged.
TIPS AND ESSENTIALS FOR BIKE TOUR:-
- Carry a full-body raincoat or complete waterproof clothing with you.
- Gumboots or any other waterproof shoes. You can also buy these in Manali.
- Driving license for two-wheeler.
- Heavy warm clothing and inner warm wear.
- Small dry bag to carry your electronics.
- Waterproof gloves, UV shades, and sunscreen ointment.
- Normal medication for cold, fever, a painkiller, and a first aid kit.
- Chocolates and sweets can be helpful in high altitude sickness.
- Proper hydration for the body. Excess drinking of water can also lead to nausea.
- Garlic can be very helpful for AMS. You can also put Garlic in water bottles, juice, etc.
- Try not to take antidepressant drugs such as sleeping pills, alcohol, or Smoking.
- Try not to sleep in the daytime.
